As the founder of Pigeon Solar Panels, I’ve spent over 10 years cleaning and protecting solar panels, and our team now looks after homes across Chester and the surrounding area.
We clean with pure water rather than harsh chemicals, which can damage panels and void your warranty, and we can pest proof your solar panel array so pigeons can’t nest underneath and damage the panels or cables.
Chester mixes Victorian and Edwardian homes with newer estates in Saltney, Upton and Blacon, and many arrays sit on roofs that are awkward to reach. The city’s pigeons, and the gulls that come up the Dee, like the shelter under panels on the older roofs.
We work on ropes, so there is no scaffolding against period brickwork, and we clean with deionised water. Proofing is clipped to the panel frames, not drilled into the roof, so your tiles stay intact.
Areas we cover near Chester: Hoole, Upton, Blacon, Saltney, Vicars Cross, Great Boughton.
