I am the Founder of Pigeon Solar Panels and your local solar panel technician in Yeovil. Working within the industry for over 10 years I pride myself on doing things the right way. We were recently covered in the news, read the story here
Making sure your solar panels are kept cleaned and well maintainted ensures that they are running efficently and also extends the life of the panels avoiding costly repairs. It is important to have these panels cleaned professionally as they can be easily damaged by harsh cleaning chemicals which can void the warranty on the solar panels, a mistake you certainly do not want to make!
Pest proofing goes hand in hand with ensuring you get the most out of your solar panels as pigeons building their nests beneath your solar PV system runs the risk of them damaging the solar panels or the cables, which could result in problems with your solar PV system. You can safeguard both your solar panels and your investment in green energy by bird proofing them.
Yeovil’s newer estates in Brympton and Lufton, and the villages around the town, have plenty of solar panels. Farm dust and pollen from the surrounding countryside settle on the glass, and pigeons move easily between farms and rooftops.
We clean with deionised water and fit mesh or SolaSkirt so birds can’t nest under your array. We also quote for farm buildings and barns in South Somerset.
Areas we cover near Yeovil: Brympton, Lufton, Martock, Sherborne, Crewkerne, Ilchester.

Solar PV maintenance in Yeovil deals with the two things that cut rural output most: farm dust and nesting birds. We inspect your system, clear any nests, clean the panels with pure water and run a thermal imaging scan to check every cell is working.
