I am the Founder of Pigeon Solar Panels and your local solar panel technician in Burnham-on-Sea. Working within the industry for over 10 years I pride myself on doing things the right way. We were recently covered in the local news, read the story here
Making sure your solar panels are kept cleaned and well maintainted ensures that they are running efficently and also extends the life of the panels avoiding costly repairs. It is important to have these panels cleaned professionally as they can be easily damaged by harsh cleaning chemicals which can void the warranty on the solar panels, a mistake you certainly do not want to make!
Pest proofing goes hand in hand with ensuring you get the most out of your solar panels as pigeons building their nests beneath your solar PV system runs the risk of them damaging the solar panels or the cables, which could result in problems with your solar PV system. You can safeguard both your solar panels and your investment in green energy by bird proofing them.
Burnham-on-Sea’s seafront bungalows and homes in Highbridge and Berrow get salt and sand blown straight off the Bristol Channel. Gulls along the seafront and pigeons from the town make a mess of panels and use the gap underneath for nesting.
We clean with deionised water to lift salt without streaks, and fit mesh or SolaSkirt so gulls and pigeons can’t get under the array.
