Roof access

We can’t protect your solar panels without roof access. Most jobs can be completed with just the use of ladders and other safety equipment. We make sure to do this in a safe, and minimally intrusive way, so you can carry on as if we aren’t there. In rare circumstances where access to the front of your system is blocked, we may need another method of access such as a cherry picker or erecting scaffold. But prior to us turning up we will pre-emptively assess your property and what the requirements will be to complete the job with no fuss.

Once we are safely on the roof, we scare away and remove any pests, and once they have gone, we carefully begin clearing the mess away. Pigeons and other birds can build nests under your solar panels. If we find a nest, we safely remove it. This is a vital step in the process, because the build-up under solar panels is dangerous, and under the wrong conditions can cause your panels to break entirely. For example, electrical cables, exposed by pests chewing off the protective casing, can set fire to twigs and dry leaves left by pigeons for their nests. We clear it all out.
